HUNTLEY – Residents soon will see a new industry and a retirement community in Huntley at opposite ends of town.

The Village Board voiced approval Thursday night and will meet next week to formally OK two development proposals – a 78-home community in the Talamore subdivision on the north end of Huntley and a large warehouse on the south end.

Ryland Homes will move forward with its plan for single-family homes in the Talamore subdivison at Route 47 and Ackman Road. The one-story houses are expected to range from 1,224 square feet to 1,880 square feet, the majority of them on private courts, and will be marketed toward active adults 55 or older.
