Dream of attending Cubs game dashed
WOODSTOCK – The dream of attending a Chicago Cubs game for one Woodstock resident and her best friend went blowing in the wind – literally.
Seventeen-year-old Haley Storms, who suffers from a kidney disease, planned to attend her first Cubs game later this month with her best friend.
But those plans were dashed when the box-seat tickets she bought as a birthday surprise for her friend floated away Wednesday on a bouquet of balloons that unexpectedly slipped out of her hands.
