Hydrant flushing to start soon in Woodstock

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The fall hydrant flushing has been scheduled for the city of Woodstock.

Flushing will occur starting Monday through Sept. 18 in the area west of Route 47. It will begin Sept. 19 and run through Sept. 28 in the area east of Route 47. No scheduled work will be done on Saturdays or Sundays.

During this time, residents could experience some loss of water pressure and water discoloration. This will not present a health hazard and will only be temporary.

Residents are urged to check their water quality before doing laundry and to avoid doing laundry when hydrants are flushed in their area.

For information, call the Woodstock Public Works Department at 815-338-6118 or email pwdept@woodstockil.gov.
