To the Editor:
On a recent Quick Critic page (Sept. 2), 15 movie reviews are listed. Eleven of the 15 are PG-13 rated because of violence, some bloody; also language, drugs and sex.
This is entertainment?
When will we realize that publicizing violence, vulgar language, sex and drug use has the effect of proliferating those same things in daily life.
Isn’t it about time we cleaned up the movie and television industry and get back to some real entertainment?
Growing up, I felt the printing press was man’s finest achievement. Now, he could record experiences, culture and learning to succeeding generations. Then came television. Wow! what a great education tool! It has degenerated to the high trash level.
I had even greater hopes for computers, but here again the degenerates have invaded the websites.
The everyday carnage we read about, see on television, and hear on radio has had its effect. Think about it.
