To the Editor:
This might be a good time to give out information to the new and old lawmakers and politicians before the election.
There seems to be a question in their minds about what is right and what is wrong with the decisions they are making lately.
Spending more money than you have is wrong no matter if it’s your money or the taxpayers money. Paying the bills in full and on time is a good thing. Making excuses for not doing that is a bad thing. In Illinois, being No. 1 can be a good thing and it can be a bad thing. Knowing the difference seems to confuse a lot of our elected officials.
Being No. 1 in corruption is not a good thing.
Being No. 1 in murders is not a good thing.
Being No. 1 in having the highest taxes on gas is not a good thing.
The sad part about all of this is that the information that I am giving the politicians and lawmakers should have been given to them when they were in grade and high schools. Knowing right from wrong, and the other bad part about it is that we elected almost all of them.
Some things are happening in Illinois that are good for the people, but it’s going to hurt a lot of people a little to help a lot of people a lot.
