MARENGO – An Iowa man was flown to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being pinned against a trailer by several pigs he was transporting, according to the Marengo Fire Protection District.
Emergency crews were called to Pork King Packing Inc. in the 8800 block of South Route 23 for a report of a man pinned down and not breathing, according to fire officials. The man was found conscious with non-life threatening injuries when paramedics arrived.
He was unloading the pigs around 1:30 p.m. Thursday when they aggressively approached him and he slipped and fell to the floor, authorities said. The truck driver was then pinned up against the trailer until help arrived.
