Tryon to host 2 public meetings

CRYSTAL LAKE – Area residents interested in learning about recent and upcoming legislation in the Illinois General Assembly and in sharing their views are encouraged to attend two town hall meetings hosted by state Rep. Mike Tryon, R-Crystal Lake.

Tryon will discuss challenges facing local residents and the state of Illinois, and have a question-and-answer period.

The meetings will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Huntley Village Hall, 10987 Main St., Huntley, and at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Algonquin Village Hall, 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin.

“I look forward to these town-hall meetings every year because they provide a good opportunity for me to update my constituents,” Tryon said in a news release. “They also allow residents a platform for letting me know what issues are important to them, which in turn allows me to better represent their needs in Springfield.”

Refreshments will be served.
