Lack of promise

To the Editor:

Like cowboy philosopher Will Rogers, I don’t belong to an organized political party. I’m a Democrat.

During the first two years in office, President Barack Obama had both a Democratic House and Senate. This should have been enough to accomplish anything. Wrong! The Democrats spent that time trying to compromise with the Republicans to come up with fair plans to fix our ailing country. The Grand Old Party wasn’t having any of that. They spent their time telling anyone who would listen that their first priority was to defeat Obama in 2012.
