CHICAGO – Christine Heim and Jacob Wirth, both of Chicago, were married in a double-ring ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Architectural Artifacts in Chicago. The Rev. BJ Jones officiated.
She is the daughter of Richard and Anne Heim of Lombard. He is the son of George and Beth Wirth of Woodstock.
The bride wore a vintage lace gown with a veil made by her aunt.
She carried a bouquet of yellow and blue flowers by Petals and Bloom.
Maids of honor were Emily and Meredith Heim of Lombard, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Erin Schoop of Chicago, Beth Johnson of Minneapolis, Erin Walls of Chicago and Emily Wiebel of Minneapolis.
Best men were Cal Smith of Woodstock, friend from kindergarten; and Zach Sounheim of Chicago, friend from high school. Groomsmen were Brett Roberts of Chicago, college friend; Ryan Kreher of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, college friend; Sam Wirth of Prairie Grove, brother of the bridegroom; and Michael Heim of Lombard, brother of the bride. Ushers were Jessica Bys of Iowa City, Iowa, cousin of the bride; and Zach Olson of Chicago, friend of the bridegroom.
After a reception at Architectural Artifacts, the couple took a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Glenbard East High School in Lombard and a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She works for the Red Cross of Chicago.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, a 2007 graduate of the University of Iowa and a 2009 graduate of Northern Illinois University. He is an earth science teacher at Crystal Lake South High School.
They make their home in Chicago.
