Tips sought on 2 burglaries 
near Marengo

MARENGO – The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help as it investigates two residential burglaries that occurred in the past month in unincorporated McHenry County near Marengo.

During both incidents, residents were attending a wake for a family member when their homes were burglarized, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Forced entry was made to both residences and jewelry was taken, according to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone with information about the burglaries should call Crime Stoppers at 800-762-7867, call the McHenry County Sheriff’s tip line at 815-338-2144, or email TipLine@co.mchenry.il.us.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution of the offenders.
