To the Editor:
“Awesome service” are the first words that come to mind when I think of Centegra Hospital.
My elderly dad (97 years old) was recently released from Centegra Hospital – McHenry after being hospitalized for more than a week. He is now in a rehabilitation facility.
I cannot say enough about the tender care that was given to my father during his stay at Centegra. He has dementia, and they always treated him calmly and with respect, even with his constant repetitive questions. They bent over backward to accommodate his various wants and needs. They also were very caring to the family when we visited.
There were so many people involved in his care that I thought this the best way to say a “big thank you” to all who were there for us – from the man at the door who made sure we had a wheelchair for my mother when we visited, the women in the cafeteria, all of the nurses and doctors, and others involved in my dad’s care. Just wonderful, wonderful caring people.
Thank you, everyone.
