To the Editor:

Since July 25, I have attended two meetings of the Cary Park District Board to learn about their covert attempt to purchase Chalet Hills Golf Club for, on the order of, $2 million. At the first meeting, the parks board declared that it didn’t have to answer any questions from the concerned citizens who were there, and board members vehemently denied any knowledge of an interest in Chalet Hills.

On July 28, the Northwest Herald wrote that “The Cary Park District has confirmed it is discussing whether to buy Chalet Hills Golf Course.” At the second meeting, the board declared that we could ask questions after the closed-door session.
