HARVARD – A 63-year-old Harvard man stands accused of inappropriately touching a young girl at the day care business he ran out of his home, according to the Harvard Police Department.

Wendell D. Yancey, of the 500 block of West Washington Street, will appear in court next month on a charge of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a person under the age of 13.

Authorities received a complaint in late June that Yancey had touched the girl in a sexual manner at his in-home day care center near Washington Elementary School, Police Chief Dan Kazy-Garey said.
