Huntley Area Tea Party to host 2 speakers

HUNTLEY – The Huntley Area Tea Party will present “Restore our U.S. Economy and the State of Illinois” on Tuesday. The event will begin with a meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m. The program is at 7 p.m. at the Cosman Center, 12015 Mill St., Huntley. It will feature two noted guest speakers.

Dan Proft is a writer and political commentator, entrepreneur, former Republican candidate for governor, and weekday morning talk show co-host with Bruce Wolf on radio station WLS-AM 890 in Chicago. Proft is a senior fellow at the Illinois Policy Institute, a free-market think tank in Chicago. He is a regular guest on local and national public-affairs programs.

Proft will speak about the Illinois Opportunity Project and on the state of Illinois spending, debt and deficits and the future.

Steve Beaman is an entrepreneur and expert on the U.S. economy. He is a 25-year veteran of the financial services field and has written more than 400 articles on better living and business building, as well as a two-volume, 12 CD audio library titled the “Path To Prosperity.”

Beaman will talk about the national debt and how to restore the nation to a path of growth and prosperity. Topics include federal spending, departments and agencies that are growing and destroying jobs, and the national debt.
