HUNTLEY – In honor of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, the Huntley Area Public Library, the Fox River Valley Public Library and Algonquin Area Public Library will host a library card sign-up day Saturday at Algonquin Commons shopping center.

"A Library Card – What We All Have In Common" will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the shopping center, 1900 S. Randall Road, Algonquin.

For Huntley Area Public Library cardholders, including those who sign up at the event, the day will include a drawing for a Kindle eReader (courtesy of the HAPLD Friends Foundation), a craft for children of all ages, and a special presentation of "Super Couponing 2" by Jill Cataldo from 2 to 4 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served; standing room will be available.
