Man accused of killing girlfriend's toddler son
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — A southwestern Illinois man is accused of killing his girlfriend's 21-month-old son.
Prosecutors in Madison County charged 29-year-old John Holmon III of Granite City on Tuesday with first-degree murder in the death of Jasean Rusher.
Assistant Granite City Police Chief Jeff Connor says the toddler died at a hospital Monday after officers responded to a report of a child in distress at the family's home.
