Old Navy to host safety event in McHenry

McHENRY – Old Navy in McHenry is hosting a safety event this weekend to promote safe habits and raise money for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Old Navy's annual safety event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the store's parking lot at 3220 Shoppers Drive.

The event will include safety demonstrations from White Dragon Martial Arts and pet safety tips from Fortunate Pooch and Lab Rescue.

The McHenry Police Department and the McHenry Township Fire Protection District will be there to showcase their vehicles.

Old Navy also has partnered with State Farm Insurance and others for the event.

The store will be handing out safety kits for children and customers who donate to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children will get a coupon for 10 percent off at Old Navy, said Megan Noa, the store manager.
