Sorely disappointed

To the Editor:

When President Barack Obama promised to lower unemployment below eight percent, I know he was not expecting the gridlock that awaited him from the Republicans.

Heck, Mitch McConnell removed all pretense when he said to make Obama a one-term president. The fact that we, the employers of Congress, needed jobs was not important, nor was fixing our economic tsunami.

I will bet President Ronald Reagan is flipping in his grave. And those of you who question whether this assessment is true, good for you to question. Now fact-check these remarks. Of course, the Reagan part cannot be checked, but I’m sure he would be sorely disappointed in this present Republican group.

I keep wondering, where did they lose their compass, or who took it from them?

Some of our best ideas came from former Republican parties, but not this bunch.
