Support forest preserves

To the Editor:

Are you looking for a different way to celebrate fall with your family that involves movement, the outdoors under the full moon, with lively conversation and new experiences? Then join Friends of the Forest Preserves for a nighttime fall festival with fun for all ages from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Barrington Hills. This wonderful event will be held at the Spring Creek Forest Preserve on Bateman Road just north of the intersection of Bateman and Route 62.

Guests will enjoy a cookout dinner, beer and wine, a huge bonfire, narrated horse-drawn wagon rides, native wildlife, stargazing, an amazing raffle, flashlight tours for children, live music and dancing.
