Teachers strike at Lake Forest High School
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Teachers in Chicago aren't the only ones on strike after negotiators in Lake Forest failed to agree on a new contract for high school teachers.
The 150 teachers in the suburban Chicago district decided to strike after contract talks broke off late Tuesday.
Lake Forest Education Association spokesman Chuck Gress say the union is disappointed the district didn't respond to the association's last salary proposal. Gress didn't give details about the proposal.
