Fox River Grove Library announces seminars, fall story times for children

FOX RIVER GROVE – The Fox River Grove Memorial Library plans a number of programs and events this fall.

The library, at 407 Lincoln Ave., is open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 4 p.m. Saturday.

• Job hunting seminars: Jim Pacholski, a certified workforce development professional, will dedicate seminars to the following topics: résumés and cover letters Wednesday; interviewing Thursday; portfolios Sept. 26; and holiday job searching Sept. 27. All seminars will be from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the library. Registration is required.

• Story times: Story times will begin at the end of September. Wee Ones Story Time, for newborns through age 23 months with a parent, will run Tuesday mornings from Sept. 25 to Dec. 4. Tiny Tots Story Time, for ages 2 to 3 with a parent, will run Wednesday mornings from Sept. 26 through Dec. 5. Ready to Read Story Time, for ages 4 to 5 without a parent, will run Thursday mornings from Sept. 27 through Dec. 6. All story times begin at 10 a.m. Registration is required.

• Tween Advisory Board: Applications are available at the Ask-Me Desk for children in sixth- through eighth-grade. Applications are due Oct. 4.

Registration can be done at the circulation desk for adult programs and at the Ask-Me Desk for all programs in the youth and young adult divisions. Or call the library during normal business hours.
