Fest to benefit fireworks fund
ISLAND LAKE – All proceeds from a family-themed fest today will go toward the village’s fireworks fund.
LakeFest, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Water Tower Park, on Route 176 by Newport Drive, will feature a water dunk tank in which Village Board President Debbie Herrmann, trustees, police officers and residents have volunteered to be dunked “all in the name of good, clean fun” and to raise funds, officials said in a news release Friday.
Parking is available at Cotton Creek School, 545 Newport Court.
