To the Editor:
Thank you to the generous and thoughtful couple who provided a random act of kindness for some residents of Hearthstone Communities.
A number of our seniors were on an outing to enjoy lunch at Portillo’s in Crystal Lake when a man, who requested to remain anonymous, told our activity aide that he and his wife would like to purchase dessert for the group. After verifying that it was OK to do so, he purchased an entire chocolate cake and had it sliced for the group.
