Ferris: Future memories are waiting to be made

Richmond Spring Grove Chamber is an impressive 210 members strong and has added a variety of new events to our calendar.

It moves my heart to see the number of volunteers and community groups that are joining our push to increase the presence of our quaint area that has so much to offer. Richmond and Spring Grove are rich in heritage and small-town amenities.

I invite you to discover the places in your own town. Have you ever wanted to stop at “this shop or that little diner” but never had the time? What a shame that you may be missing out on your favorite new place to go! Future memories are waiting to be made and perhaps it’s closer than you think.

Richmond and Spring Grove have so much to offer such as a corn maze, coffee and bake shops, museum, bars and lounges, dance studio, home décor stores, antiques, horseback riding, hiking, biking, golfing and fishing. The list continues on our website, www.rsgchamber.com.

I encourage you to take an adventure in your own back yard.

Spring Grove will be having a “Dude’s Day” from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 27. This is an afternoon of brews, bourbon, bikes, cigars, and classic cars. Auto Gallery on Route 12 is the location for all this fun, and don’t think we forgot the ladies! There are 21 “little shops” in the museum for your shopping pleasure and a great opportunity for you guys to get your lady a gift for the holidays, or just because. There will be live music and pig roast dinner. Mark you calendar and tell all your friends!
