Johnsburg police to conduct child safety seat check

JOHNSBURG – The Johnsburg Police Department will conduct a "National Seat Check Saturday" event on Saturday at Walmart, 3801 Running Brook Farm Blvd.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., certified child passenger safety technicians will check car seats for proper installation and advise parents, grandparents and caregivers on how to choose the right car seats and install them properly in their vehicles.

The event, part of the Johnsburg Police Department's participation in National Child Passenger Safety Week, is free to the public.
