CHICAGO – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Cailyn Platt and Vaishak Mittur, both of Chicago.

She is the daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Platt of Crystal Lake. He is the son of Lakshmana and Jayanthi Mittur of Streamwood.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake and a 2007 graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She attends the University of Chicago Booth School of Business studying for a Master of Business. She works in corporate finance at McMaster-Car Supply Co. in Elmhurst.
