Springfield School Board adopts budget
SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield School Board has adopted a budget that's projected to leave the education fund almost $11 million in the red.
The State Journal-Register reported that the board voted 5-2 Monday to approve the 2012-13 budget.
The education fund is the district's largest fund. It pays for teacher salaries and educational programs.
