Environmental group to hold Big Fall Book Sale
CRYSTAL LAKE – The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County will hold its annual Big Fall Book Sale starting Friday at the Algonquin Township Road District garage.
The sale runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sept. 29 at the garage, 3702 Route 14, between Crystal Lake and Cary. The sale will be in the last garage on the right.
It offers a large variety of books and music, including children’s books, popular fiction, CDs, vinyl record albums and more.
New this year is a preview sale from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. There is a $10 entry fee, allowing participants first choice of the books.
A bag sale will take place Sept. 29, when the cost will be $5 for a paper grocery bag and $3 for a plastic grocery bag.
The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the environment.
