Huntley man arrested, found hiding in bushes

LAKE IN THE HILLS – A 19-year-old Huntley man was arrested early Wednesday after police found him hiding in bushes with a hammer near a house that he allegedly was trying to burglarize.

Daniel W. Bockenhauer, of 11606 Lori Lane, Huntley, was charged with criminal trespass to real property, attempted criminal trespass to a residence, and two counts of disorderly conduct in the incident.

Lake in the Hills police responded at 2:15 a.m. to a report of a possible residential burglary in the 400 block of Hebron Drive. As officers checked the outside of the house, they found Bockenhauer hiding in the bushes with a hammer, police said.
