Cary election petitions 
to be available Tuesday

CARY – Petitions for candidacy for mayor, village clerk and three trustee seats in the village of Cary will be available at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Village Hall, 655 Village Hall Drive.

Petitions may be circulated immediately.

The term of each office is four years.

To qualify to hold office, a candidate must be a registered voter in the village, must have lived in the village for at least one year before the election, must not be in arrears in the payment of any tax or other indebtedness due the village, and must not have been convicted in any U.S. court of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury or other felony.

Petition filing will begin at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 17 and close at 5 p.m. Dec. 24. The village hall will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to receive filings.
