CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Police Department will conduct a “National Seat Check Saturday” event today at Buy Buy Baby, 5540 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., certified child passenger safety seat technicians check car seats for proper installation and provide parents, grandparents and caregivers with information on how to choose the right car seats and install them.

The event, part of the Crystal Lake Police Department’s participation in National Child Passenger Safety Week, is free to the public.
