Closings, deliberations at quadruple murder trial
JOLIET, Ill. — Jurors are expected to begin deliberations at the trial of a suburban Chicago computer specialist accused of shooting dead his wife and three school-aged kids during a road trip to a water park.
The jury could begin discussing more than a month of testimony against 37-year-old Christopher Vaughn on Thursday after closing arguments.
Prosecutors say the Oswego man planned the quadruple murder to clear the way for him to pursue his dream of starting a new life living in the isolation of Canada's wilderness.
