Family Health Partnership Clinic to announce expansion

CRYSTAL LAKE – Officials, doctors and community members were scheduled to gather this evening to announce the expansion of the Family Health Partnership Clinic, which serves the uninsured and underinsured of the McHenry County area.

The clinic will begin construction on a new facility in Crystal Lake at 401 Congress Parkway, near the Metra train station.

The new facility, named the “Sage Center for Care," will be 9200 square feet, almost double the clinic’s current space in Woodstock, according to a news release.

Plans call for 12 exam rooms, electronic medical records, and an improved patient flow throughout the space.  The clinic also will be designed to meet LEED certification, a designation that focuses on energy efficiency and a reduced energy footprint which will save dollars and provide a healthier environment for patients, volunteers and staff.

The clinic will raise about $3.2 million for the project, almost $2.1 million of which already has been secured, the release stated.
