Five years for delivering heroin

WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock man was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison for delivering heroin. The sentence will be served concurrently with a previous sentence for DUI.

Jason S. Grizely, 30, pleaded guilty to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance as part of the negotiated plea accepted by Judge Sharon Prather. The judge found that the crime was committed as a result of the use, abuse or in addition to alcohol or drugs.

After his release, Grizely must serve two years of probation. McHenry County Court records show Grizely pleaded guilty in August to aggravated driving under the influence and received a five-year sentence.
