A Cary resident will be $3.25 million richer on Monday as the resident picked the six correct numbers in the Sept. 8 Lotto drawing, Illinois Lottery said.

The resident, who Illinois Lottery would not identify until Monday's ceremonial check presentation, bought the winning ticket at Mr. A's Liquor World in Palatine.

Illinois Lottery Spokeswoman Micaela Small said the winner purchased the ticket for $2. Numbers were selected via a quick pick.

Mr. A's Liquor World will receive a $32,500 commission for selling the winning ticket.

"The store is very happy that they get a commission," Small said.

The winning numbers were: 5, 6, 14, 25, 40, and 52.
