Fishing technique part of event in Union
UNION – The Northwest Sportsman Club will travel to Union today to teach children the techniques of fishing as part of National Hunting and Fishing Day.
New Dimensions Precision in Union will host the children, and club members teach them how to bait a hook, cast a rod and catch fish. National Hunting and Fishing Day was declared by President Richard Nixon in 1972.
The Sportsman Club is based in Arlington Heights and allows for outdoor enthusiasts from across the Chicago area to meet for outings.
