Clear choice

To the Editor:

I couldn’t help but notice that in the Thursday, Sept. 20, issue of the Northwest Herald, there were three stories about Gov. Mitt Romney’s “47 percent” comments, but not one about President Barack Obama’s previous comments about his belief in income redistribution.

Both stories are consuming the airwaves, but your newspaper could find stories only about Romney. It seems a bit unbalanced, unless your publication is in the tank with Media Matters! I find it hard to believe that not a single journalist, and I use the term loosely, could tie the president’s 1998 “redistribution” comments to his 2008 “Joe the Plumber” comments and further tie that to his “shared prosperity” pitch that is offered quite freely as of late.
