Woodstock child falls from second-story condo

WOODSTOCK – A 3-year-old child had to be airlifted Saturday after she fell 20 feet from her family's second-story condominium near Emricson Park in Woodstock, police said.

Flight for Life flew the child to Advocate Lutheran General in Park Ridge, where she was being treated for minor injuries, said Woodstock Fire Lt. Patrick Keefe. She is expected to recover.

The accident happened after the child fell off the family's couch and through a window screen, while the dad was in the bathroom, Keefe said. The father was the only other person in the condo.
