Contract talks resuming in Chicago Symphony strike
CHICAGO — Talks aimed at settling the Chicago Symphony Orchestra strike are set to resume three days after musicians walked off the job.
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra says negotiations will get under way on Monday afternoon.
Musicians went on strike Saturday over wages and health care costs, forcing the cancellation of the season's first Saturday night show less than two hours before it started. CSO officials say famed conductor Riccardo Muti (MOO'-tee) was "very, very disappointed."
