Huntley cheerleading coach arrested in theft
HUNTLEY – A Huntley High School cheerleading coach recently was charged with theft after she allegedly took a student's iPod and cellphone from a school bathroom.
Police charged Kimberlee Hoffmann, 42, with theft of mislaid or lost property, a Class A misdemeanor, on Sept. 11. Hoffmann is the junior varsity cheerleading coach who has also been teaching at the district for nine years.
The incident happened after the student went into a school bathroom Sept. 5 to change clothes for an extra curricular activity, Huntley Police Chief John Perkins said. The student placed her iPod Touch and Motorola Atrix cellphone in a stall and left the bathroom at the same time Hoffmann entered it.
