McHenry library to host author, literary agent

McHENRY – The McHenry Public Library District will host “The Ten Secrets to Getting Your Book Successfully Published!” from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the library’s meeting room.

Best-selling author Bret Nicholaus and literary agent Joe Durepos bring their insightful publishing knowledge to teach what works, what doesn’t and what to expect when entering publishing. Take-home publishing kits will be provided, as well as a box lunch. There will be time for networking and questions.

Nicholaus has written 26 books since 1992, including two national best-sellers and several regional best-sellers. Joe Durepos has sold more than 150 titles as a literary agent, with many making best-seller lists.

There is a nonrefundable $5 fee for the program. Registration must be done in person at the library. This workshop is for ages 18 and up.
