Naperville man gets life sentence for sex assaults

WHEATON, Ill. — A Naperville man has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting two sisters over several years.

DuPage County Judge George Bakalis handed down the sentence Monday against 43-year-old Christopher Carter, who was found guilty last month by a jury.

State's Attorney Robert Berlin says the abuse began in 2004 after the sisters were sent to live with Carter after their mother was killed. He says Carter began molesting each of the girls when they turned 10 years old and that the abuse continued until 2008.
