CRYSTAL LAKE – Voters curious about the county executive referendum can learn about it at a forum next month hosted by Patriots United.

The two-hour forum starts at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Building B conference center of McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake. Admission is $5.

Voters will be asked Nov. 6 whether county government should change to an executive form. Under this form of government, voters would elect a countywide executive, besides their board representatives, who would manage the day-to-day operations of county government.
