Published: Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 5:30 a.m. CDT

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Republican Party of McHenry County has opened a new GOP Campaign Headquarters at 22 Crystal Lake Plaza, on Route 14 near Joseph’s grocery store.

Volunteers will staff the office from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday through the Nov. 6 election.

“This Crystal Lake Plaza location provides us with great visibility and a lot of room for our volunteers to work on many key projects,” party Chairman Mike Tryon said. “People are welcome to stop in and pick up Romney yard signs, Romney/Ryan bumper stickers, GOP T-shirts and yard signs for most of the Republican candidates in McHenry County. We can also assist people with finding their polling places and with learning about how the new maps affect who their candidates will be.”

The GOP will host a debate-watching party at the headquarters at 7 p.m. Oct. 11, when GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden square off. Food and drinks will be provided.

For information or to volunteer, call the campaign office at 815-444-1910.
