Historical society’s James exhibit set to visit Hebron

HEBRON – The McHenry County Historical Society’s newest mobile exhibit will debut Saturday at Von Bergen’s Country Market, 9805 Route 173 in Hebron.

The mobile museum, known as The James and driven by volunteer Bill Stutz, will appear at Von Bergen’s Annual Antique Tractor Show and Plow Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature historical information and artifacts plucked from the society’s museum inventory and archives.

Twenty-five individuals from the society’s diverse community of members, volunteers and board of directors, and members of the McHenry County Joint Council of Historic Groups, were invited to serve as guest curators for the exhibit. Exhibits and collections coordinator Kira Halvey designed and installed the items in The James.
