To the Editor:
I am voting “no” for the referendum that would make the county administrator an elected executive.
The County Board presently hires an administrator. The board directs and monitors and can even fire this person if he is not performing his duties. The board has the control. An elected administrator would have an incredible amount of power and be able to circumvent the County Board, with the board having little recourse.
