Probation official pleads guilty to reckless driving

WOODSTOCK – A probation official has been sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge after pleading guilty Tuesday to misdemeanor reckless driving.

Bull Valley police arrested Roger A. Bacon, 47, of Wonder Lake last month on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for allegedly driving 15 to 20 mph over the speed limit.

Under the negotiated plea, Bacon also must pay $3,198 in fines, costs and fees, as well as attend DUI school and a victim impact panel.
