To the Editor:
Something seems to be missing from the discussion of how Mitt Romney has disposed of his wealth in the past. I’ve heard the undisputed revelations of how his wealth has gone to the Cayman Islands and to Swiss bank accounts and who knows where else. Perhaps those tax returns he chooses to not disclose would tell the story.
But the question I haven’t heard asked is, “If you want so much to see the American economy soar, why wouldn’t you put all that money you’ve invested abroad into the American economy to grow businesses that you claim to be an expert? Sure, you say it’s legal, so what? Do you really crave those millions to be added to your bloated holdings, at the expense of helping an American economy? Maybe it’s true, you don’t love the people of this country enough to be president of it.”
