CRYSTAL LAKE – Brent Hollenberg finally found something to keep his attention.

The 29-year-old had bounced around retail and management jobs while taking classes off and on at Arizona State University. He eventually fell into the insurance industry, where he said he made good money. But then he fell into this.

"I was like, 'What do I want? I want to paint furniture,'" said Hollenberg, who opened Reclaimed in downtown Crystal Lake earlier this month. The store is a mishmash of work from more than 20 local artisans who make everything from scented candles to concrete coffee tables to wine bottle lighting fixtures.
