McCullom Lake resident pleads guilty
to possession of heroin

WOODSTOCK – A McCullom Lake man pleaded guilty to possession of heroin Tuesday and was sentenced to 180 days in jail. The drug was found during a traffic stop.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Led Policing Unit made the stop at 12:11 p.m. Sept. 20 near Route 120 and Chapel Hill Road.

A police dog indicated the presence of narcotics and a search of the vehicle and its occupants turned up 15 heroin capsules with an estimated street value of $300, authorities said.
